Squash Australia is excited to announce a new partnership with Dunlop, a globally recognised leader in racquet sports, to power its national junior participation program Squash Stars — Where squash begins and stars are made.
The partnership highlights Dunlop’s commitment to grassroots sport, youth participation, and community engagement. It also supports Squash Australia’s mission to inspire more children to try, play, and love squash through fun, inclusive, and high-quality experiences.
Marco Comuzzo, Brand Manager AUS/NZ – Dunlop Racquet Sports, said the partnership reflects Dunlop’s belief in the transformative power of sport.
“We’re delighted to partner with Squash Stars as they cultivate the next generation of Australian squash participants. Dunlop has long believed in the power of sport to transform lives. This partnership is a natural extension of that belief.”
Squash Stars is a dynamic and evidence-informed program designed to ignite a lifelong passion for squash in children. Developed with Play Well funding support from the Australian Sports Commission, the program focuses on learning through play, exploration, and enjoyment rather than traditional drills. It creates a positive environment where every child feels supported, successful, and inspired to keep playing.
Since its introduction to Sporting Schools in 2023, Squash Stars has achieved exceptional growth across student participation, program delivery, and program reach. More schools are choosing squash than ever before, with programs now running in every state and territory and a growing network of certified Leaders delivering sessions nationwide.
Thousands of children have already taken part in Squash Stars activities, and many schools are rebooking after seeing high levels of student engagement and enthusiasm. Teachers have praised the program for its inclusive design, simple setup, and strong alignment with the Health and Physical Education curriculum. This success has firmly positioned squash alongside other major national participation programs as a fun and accessible experience for Australian children.
Squash Australia CEO Robert Donaghue said the partnership with Dunlop would help accelerate the program’s expansion and deliver even greater impact.
“We are thrilled to have such a respected brand supporting the next generation of squash participants. Squash Stars makes squash fun, accessible, and rewarding, and with Dunlop’s support, we can deliver world class experiences for kids nationwide while positioning squash among Australia’s leading participation sports.”
Delivered across schools, clubs, and community settings, Squash Stars makes it easy for children everywhere to get involved. From Sporting Schools programs and club sessions to holiday camps and community activations, Squash Stars offers exciting entry points for every child regardless of experience or ability.
Through this collaboration, Dunlop will equip Squash Stars with the quality gear, resources, and visibility needed to continue expanding across Australia. The partnership will also strengthen Squash Stars’ position in the national sport participation landscape, supporting its expansion into more schools and affiliated clubs and centres across the country.
