Squash Australia partners with Pride in Sport

Squash Australia has become the newest member of the Australian Pride in Sport program, committing to further develop and enhance the inclusion of LGBTQ people. ACON Health’s Pride in Sport program is the only sporting inclusion program specifically designed to assist sporting organisations with the inclusion of employees, athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials and spectators with diverse genders and sexualities.

Queensland secures the 2032 Olympic Games

Sporting fans across the country have tonight celebrated the news that Brisbane has won the rights to host the 2032 Olympic Games, the world's biggest sporting event. With Australia’s top athletes preparing to represent their country on the world stage at the Tokyo Olympics in two days’ time, young children will be watching with big dreams of potentially competing at a home Olympics in front of friends and family.

Squash Australia announces postponement of the 2021 Tarra Volkswagen Australian Open

Squash Australia has today taken the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 Tarra Volkswagen Australian Open, originally scheduled in Bega, NSW from 22-25 July. The decision has been made in consideration of the current COVID-19 restrictions in place in Sydney and New South Wales, impacting travel as well as the delivery of large-scale community events, which cannot proceed as planned.

COMMONWEALTH GAMES STARS SHINE AT AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Australian Commonwealth Games representatives Tamika Hunt and Rex Hedrick have taken out the Squash Australian National Championships (ANC) in Sydney today. Both Hunt and Hedrick represented Australia at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, and with just over a year to go until the Birmingham Games, they are making strides in a bid for selection.

Reigning Champion Nick Calvert set to defend his title at Australian National Championships

Reigning men’s Australian Champion Nick Calvert (Queensland) is excited to travel to Sydney to defend his title at the 2021 City Tattersalls Australian National Championships (ANC) on 17 June. The 21-year-old is currently studying Bachelor of Mathematics juggling university exams and competition preparation, but is looking forward to testing his skills against a range of high-calibre Australian players.

Squash Australia is excited to announce Jenny Duncalf as the new National Pathways Coach. Duncalf originally joined the Squash Australia (SqA) team in September 2019 as Performance Pathway Coach, on a part-time basis. The new role will now see her involved with SqA full-time.
