Elijah Thomas and Kaitlyn Watts have clinched the 2025 Oceania Regional Championships titles at Sandgate Squash Centre, Queensland on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas, a semi-finalist last year and seeded number 2 for the tournament started his campaign in the second round. Going on to defeat Tate Norris 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-7) to get his tournament run underway.

He would face a tough assignment in the third round, pitted against Australian Squash Tour leader Brendan MacDonald. Facing an uphill battle after finding himself down two games, Thomas would dig deep with a come-from-behind 3-2 (10-12, 9-11, 11-4, 11-3, 11-4) victory over MacDonald to set up a semi-final clash against Thomas Scott. Thomas started off slow to start the match, before overpowering Scott 3-1 (7-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5) to book himself a spot in the Championship Final.

Thomas faced Dylan Molinaro, who had only dropped one game all tournament. The see-sawing affair ending 3-0 (12-10, 11-9, 11-8), with Thomas clinching the 2025 Oceania Regional Championships Men's title.

In the women's final, Kaitlyn Watts delivered an emphatic performance in a 3-0 (11-9, 11-6, 11-4) victory against Madison Lyon. It was a dominant display by Watts, who had not dropped a game all tournament. Which included a 3-0 (11-7, 17-15, 11-7) win over last year's winner Jess Van der Walt in the semi-finals. As well as straight game victories over Rachael Grinham and Lily Rae to storm her way to the 2025 Oceania Regional Championships Women's title.
