Squash Australia and ACHPER South Australia recently came together to highlight the importance of movement during a Squash Stars program delivery.
ACHPER’s Rick Baldock, who has previously facilitated the Squash Stars Sporting School program to teachers and education providers across South Australia, demonstrated the unique opportunity to experience firsthand the practical sessions, participating in various squash activities from the program's resource pack.
Squash Australia staff, along with State Members were also in attendance to gain valuable insights into the Squash Stars program's potential impact on students. Highlighting the importance of health and physical education, ARCPER’s National HPE Day echoes similar sentiments to the Squash Stars program, raising awareness of the critical role it plays in the Australian education curriculum.
Shaun McEachin, Squash Australia National Lead - Sport Development, was pleased with the activity amongst the participants for the Squash Stars session.
“We’re excited with where the Squash Stars program is heading and it’s continued growth.”
“The response from teachers from previous Squash Stars programs delivered in schools has been very positive and shows encouraging signs ahead.”
