Squash Australian Open Set for Record Ticket Sales and Unprecedented Broadcast Coverage

This year’s Squash Australian Open will have a bigger broadcast footprint than ever before, with action from Brisbane’s South Bank Piazza being shown by Fox Sports Australia, SBS and other international broadcasters between March 10-15, 2026.

The Australian Open is one of the premier events on the PSA Squash Tour and features a selection of the world’s best players, including World No.2 Paul Coll and World No.7 Sivasangari Subramaniam, alongside local heroes such as Madison Lyon and Joseph White, who are both based in Queensland.

Fox Sports and Kayo will broadcast live action from the semi-finals onwards, while SBS will show video-on-demand coverage from the quarter-finals as players compete for one of the most coveted titles on the tour.

Meanwhile, tickets are selling out at a record rate, with an increase of 11% of tickets sold compared to 2025, meaning thousands of spectators will descend on South Bank Piazza throughout the six-day event.

A stunning all-glass show court will be erected at South Bank Piazza - one of the proposed venues of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games - where 24 men and women will compete for glory. Squash will make its Olympic debut in LA28, where it will be held at the Comcast Squash Center​ at Universal Studios.

“Fans throughout the country will be able to experience the intensity and drama of one of the standout tournaments on the PSA Squash Tour calendar thanks to the coverage from Fox Sports and SBS.

“Meanwhile, South Bank Piazza will provide a spectacular backdrop for the event, and with world-class stars competing alongside some of Australia’s best players, it promises to be an unforgettable week of action. The Australian Open continues to grow each year, and it’s exciting to see so many fans getting behind the event.”
