In collaboration with Business Sydney and naming sponsor Finder.com.au, City Houses Squash Racquets Association (CHSRA) and Squash NSW, the new Finder.com Sydney CBD Premier League is set to commence on June 18 2026.

The competition will run weekly until the October finals, featuring three-player teams competing on Monday nights. These matches are set to take place primarily within Sydney's iconic CBD and its surrounding areas.

The intention of the Finder.com Sydney CBD Premier League is to bring together the best squash players Sydney has on display in a pennant-style format.

All presenting organisations involved are wanting to showcase top squash players and the sport in the heart of the CBD, leading into the LA 2028 Olympic Games, where squash will be making its debut.

Executive Director of Business Sydney, Paul Nicolaou said that he and his organisation are excited to highlight this event and what the CBD has to offer.

“Business Sydney is thrilled to champion and support the launch of the New City Squash Premier League, kicking off this June.

“This event presents an outstanding chance for CBD locals, workers and commuters to witness elite athletes compete in this new dynamic Olympic sport, right in the heart of the city.”

President of the CHSRA George Deubler, echoes the sentiment of his fellow organisers on the positive exposure this event will have.

“The Sydney Premier League provides a great opportunity to watch a new Olympic sport played at a high level, conveniently at the doorstep of an estimated 670,000 daily commuters, workers and 34,000 CBD residents for free.

“This is an opportunity that can’t be matched by many other sports.”

Finder.com.au Co-Founder and prolific squash player Fred Schebesta was keen to be involved in the initiative stating that.

Finder.com.au supports squash in Australia as we want people to do what they love,” he said.

All squash clubs in Sydney are invited to participate in this event. It provides a unique chance for clubs located outside the Sydney CBD to establish a presence within the city centre and engage with approximately 670,000 commuters who might live near suburban squash facilities.
