Twenty-four players descended on Redcliffe from around the country for the Moreton Bay PSA Satellite, which wrapped up yesterday with two thrilling finals.

The Women’s final between fifth seed Tamika Hunt and third seed Jess Turnbull drew a solid crowd, with Hunt coming out strong in the first game with a 6-0 lead.

But in a stunning comeback from Turnbull . Turnbull took out the PSA Women’s final, 5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-2 (35 mins).

“Great effort from Jess to keep composed and work her way back into the match after Tamika came out so strongly at the start,” National Coach, Stewart Boswell said.

The Men’s final was a clash of the top of the table with first seed Nicholas Calvert taking on second ranked Bryan Lim in a thrilling show stopper that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.

The two went head-to-head in two contrasting styles of play to push each other with long rallies. The final rally of the match saw Lim clinch the PSA Men’s title with a 11-6, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7 (52 mins) win.
