Lai and Romero triumphant at 2025 Tasmanian Open

Hong Kong's Matthew Lai and Spain's Noa Romero have taken out the 2025 City of Devonport Tasmanian Open over the weekend.
 
Lai, the top seeded male in the, draw dominated his way to the final to tackle Australia's Dylan Molinaro in the final at Devonport Squash Club on Sunday afternoon. The Hong Kong international proving too strong to clinch the title over the third seeded Molinaro, 3-0 (11-9, 11-5, 11-1).
 
In the women's draw, Romero continued her winning run after claiming the recent 2025 Victorian Open title. The Spaniard navigating her way to the decider, facing New Zealand third seed Ella Jane Lash in the final. Romero proving too strong to overcome the kiwi 3-0 (11-1, 11-3, 11-8) in the final in Devonport to claim a consecutive Australian state title.
