Bryan Lim took out his second PSA Satellite victory in Gympie yesterday with Tamika Hunt taking out the Women's crown.

The Men’s PSA final between third seed Bryan Lim and fifth seed Solayman Nowrozi was a thrilling encounter for local viewers.

It was a battle of endurance as Lim and Nowrozi fought through long rallies. Lim was too strong for Nowrozi and won 11-2, 7-11, 11-9, 11-5 (52 mins).

Tamika Hunt faced Jess Turnbull in a rematch of the Moreton Bay PSA Satellite, with the four set thriller seing Hunt claim the win.

Turnbull had a 2-1 lead over Hunt and the fourth was anyone's game. In the end Hunt pushed Turnbull to her limits and claimed the title of the Gympie Women’s PSA winner; 11-5, 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8 (53 mins).

Squash Australia’s High Performance Manager, Lachlan Johnston said that it was a great weekend and the hospitality of the Gympie locals was outstanding.

“It’s their involvement in the event which makes it really memorable for the players. Both finals were really high quality and great to watch,” Johnston said.
