The 2024 Australian Doubles Open took place at Carrara on the weekend, with champions crowned across three divisions.

In the men’s division, David Turner and Brendan Macdonald took on Lachlan Coxsedge and Nick Calvert in the third and final match of the round robin, which served as a pseudo-final.

Both teams had gone undefeated through their opening two matches undefeated, but Turner and Macdonald had the edge in the decider winning 11-9, 11-6.

In the Combined Open Doubles, World Junior Champ-ionship teammates Ken Lamb and Shona Coxsedge proved a class above, winning all four matches to take the title.

The pair dropped just two games throughout the tournament to finish two wins clear of three other combinations.

The Combined Graded division was won by Lilly Wilson and Grace Commons.

The Sandgate pair just just one game on their journey to the title.
