2026 Australian National Championship set to light up Carrara

Australia’s premier domestic squash event returns this week as the 2026 Australian National Championships get underway at the National Performance Centre on the Gold Coast from 18-23 June.

The PSA Australian National Championships will headline four days of competition at Carrara, with Australia's leading players competing for national honours alongside graded events and team competitions.

Defending Men's champion Joseph White enters the tournament as one of the leading contenders to retain his title. White claimed his maiden Australian National Championship crown in 2025 and returns as one of the players to beat after another strong season on the PSA Tour.

A competitive men's field will be aiming to deny White back-to-back titles, with several of Australia's top-ranked players set to challenge for the championship, including #2 seed Dylan Molinaro. 

The Women's draw is guaranteed to crown a new champion, with 2025 winner Alexandra Haydon not competing this year. Among the leading contenders is Queensland's Madison Lyon, who will be looking to secure her first Senior Australian National Championship title.

Lyon has established herself as one of Australia's brightest young talents and enters the event with an opportunity to add a national crown to an already impressive résumé. Experienced players including #2 seed Sarah Cardwell and former World No.1 Rachael Grinham will take part in the tournament. 

The PSA Australian National Championships draw also features a mix of established performers and emerging prospects from across the country, setting the stage for four days of high-quality competition.

In addition to the PSA events, the Australian National Championships will include graded competitions and team events, providing opportunities for players of all levels to compete alongside Australia's elite athletes.
