Squash Australia has launched its new National participation Program, Squash Stars. This program replaces OzSquash and will begin delivery in Term 3, 2023 through the Australian Sports Commission Sporting Schools program.

Adapted for the school setting, Squash Stars in Schools introduces school aged children in years 3 - 6 to the fundamental and physical elements of squash in a fun and inclusive setting.

Designed in collaboration with ACHPER (SA) to develop fundamental movement and squash related skills, Squash Stars in Schools is delivered in line with core curriculum outcomes and requirements. The Squash Stars program is pedagogically aligned to the national curriculum with excellent resources.

To ensure that this new program is delivered to meet the desired outcomes, Squash Australia will be conducting two education and training sessions. These sessions are required are for any provider that wishes to deliver the Squash Stars program in schools. Sessions have been scheduled during school hours when the program will be delivered.

Session 1: Thursday, 22 June – 2:30pm (AEST) – REGISTER HERE

Session 2: Tuesday, 27 June – 2:30pm (AEST) – REGISTER HERE

Note: Only one session needs to be attended

• Program content and resources
• Provider requirements
• Content delivery and philosophy
• Role of the teacher and provider
