White and Lamb set for The World Games 2025 in China

The World Games 2025 squash draw kicks off tomorrow in Chengdu, China with Joseph White and Emmy Lamb representing Australia in the individual men's and women's events taking place from August 8 - August 12.
A global multi-sport event featuring disciplines not typically included in the Olympics, the latest edition is set in China’s southwestern Sichuan province. The squash competition will be played at the Hi-Tech Zone Sports Centre, which recently hosted the Summer FISU World University Games in 2023.
White, Australia's top male ranked player and recently-crowned back-to-back National Champion competed at the last World Games in Alabama where he reached the round of 16. The World Games will be a starting point for White’s 2025-26 season, which he’ll kick off on the PSA Tour in the US later this month. White is set to take take on Austria’s Daniel Lutz in the opening round in Chengdu.
With the majority of Australia’s leading women competing in the PSA World Tour Copper event in Bega next week, 18-year old Emmy Lamb gets her first opportunity to represent Australia at a senior level. It’s a quick turnaround from the World Junior Championships in Cairo for Lamb, where she led the junior women’s team to the quarter-finals. Lamb takes on South Africa’s Hayley Ward in the opening round.
Australia has encountered success in previous campaigns, with recent PSA Hall of Fame inductee Sarah Fitz-Gerald claiming Gold at The World Games 1997 held in Finland. Whilst former World No.1 Rachael Grinham, currently active on the 2025 Australian Squash Tour, took Silver in Duisburg, Germany during the 2005 edition of The World Games.
