Squash Australia unveils biggest calendar of events yet

Squash Australia is set for its biggest year, with 221 events registered on the national calendar in the fourth year of the program.
The record number of events reflects the growing momentum behind squash across the country, from grassroots participation and junior development through to major national and international competitions.
The calendar features a packed schedule of opportunities for players of all ages and abilities, highlighted by the Australian National Championships (ANC), Australian Junior Championships (AJC), Australian Junior Open (AJO) and the Squash Australian Open.
Squash Australia CEO Robert Donaghue said the record calendar was a strong reflection of the sport’s growth and the opportunities ahead.
“To have 221 events on the calendar is a fantastic milestone for squash in Australia and a sign of the continuing momentum across the sport,” Donaghue said.
“From our emerging junior players coming through the AJC and AJO to the growth of the Squash Australian Open, there is so much happening across all levels of the game.
“From the success of the World Squash Masters this year, to our growing list of events across Australia, there is a lot to be positive about as we head into 2027.
“With LA 2028 on the horizon and Brisbane 2032 getting closer, we have a great opportunity to build on that momentum, connect more people with squash and create pathways for the next generation of Australian players.”
With participation, competition and development opportunities continuing to expand, the 2027 calendar provides a platform to build on the sport’s progress and strengthen its position in the lead-up to the next Olympic cycles.
The National Calendar also features the events that make up the Australian Junior Squash Tour and Australian Squash Tour.
These events are spread throughout Australia with eight states hosting throughout the year including their own state junior championships and senior championship events.
Players, clubs and fans can explore the national calendar and find events near them via the Squash Australia website.
