Squash Australia is excited to announce the launch of PLAY SQUASH, a national participation plan that sets a clear direction for growing and sustaining squash across the country through to 2032 and beyond.
Aligned with the Australian Sports Commission’s Play Well initiative and built around the mission of “More People Playing, More Often”, the plan outlines a whole-of-sport approach that puts players, coaches, officials, volunteers, clubs and communities at the centre, recognising the many ways Australians engage with squash. read more > |

| Squash Australia Selects 2026 Trans-Tasman Test Match Team |
Squash Australia is proud to announce the 18 young stars selected in the Australian team to take on New Zealand in the 2026 Trans-Tasman Test Match from 10-11 April 2026 in Melbourne.
The Australian team is searching for a three-peat, following their monumental success in winning last year in Hamilton, NZ, and clinching the series in Melbourne in 2024. In 2025, it was the first time Australia had won the shield away from home.

| Australia’s Best Junior Squash Players Set for Devonport in 2026 |
The nation's best young squash players will descend on Devonport, Tasmania for the Australian Junior Squash Championships to take place from 27 September to 3 October 2026.
The Championships, supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania, will begin with individual events, before the states and territories go head-to-head in the teams competition, culminating in a thrilling showcase of Australia's top emerging talent.
With the event being staged in Devonport it marks a significant milestone for Tasmanian squash and reinforces the state's growing reputation as a destination for major sporting events.

| Squash Australia Statement on Greg Lobban |
Following an announcement from Scottish Squash regarding Greg Lobban’s departure, Squash Australia confirms it is aware that Greg has commenced the process to gain Australian citizenship.
Greg has strong family links to Australia and is married to Australian Commonwealth Games gold medallist and recently retired professional squash player, Donna Lobban.
Squash Australia has been in communication with Greg, and we are pleased to be supporting him as he progresses through the relevant processes with the Australian Government.

| Expressions of Interest for National Tribunal |
Squash Australia is in the process of finalising the National Tribunal & Sanctioning Guidelines policy and in the meantime, we wish to commence the process for Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified individuals to join the Squash Australia National Tribunal as volunteer members.
The National Tribunal plays an important role in ensuring matters referred under Squash Australia’s policies are administered and determined independently, fairly, and in accordance with principles of natural justice. We are keen to attract a diverse pool of experienced professionals, including those with backgrounds in law, governance, integrity, dispute resolution, or sport administration.
We would appreciate your assistance in circulating the link to the Expression of Interest formthrough your networks, including relevant professional, governance, and sporting contacts who may be well suited to this role.
Appointments are voluntary and made on an as-needed basis, with hearings generally conducted via videoconference. Knowledge of squash is beneficial but not essential.
